As another grading date approached, our students had been especially hard at work during the past few months, practicing their Kibon (Basics techniques), Poomsae (Patterns), Hosinsool (Self-Defence), Hanbon Kyorugi (Step-Sparring) and Kyokpa (Breaking). All of these elements form part of the Taekwondo examinee’s grading test, with each belt requiring progressively harder and challenging techniques.
