Dragon Taekwondo (DT), the second long-standing local Taekwondo club, has again stood up to its reputation for setting the gold standard of Taekwondo education in Malta. Dragon Taekwondo holds a record for producing the highest number of Black Belts in history, both males and females.
On 20 January 2024, DT made history again, fielding three male and four female candidates for the Black Belt grading examinations organised by the Malta Taekwondo Association, held at the National Sports School, Pembroke. All passed successfully in their respective category as follows:
- Nathan Degiorgio 14 Male 1st Poom
- Yihan Wang 17 Female 1st Dan
- Aretina Chamaleli 17 Female 3rd Dan
- Denzel Lanzon 18 Male 1st Dan
- Luke Chircop 13 Male 2nd Poom
- Kylie Magro 20 Female 2nd Dan
