Dragon Taekwondo Sparring Team attended the Dracula Open G1 in Bucharest, Romania, on October 26th and 27th. Cadet Luke Chircop, along with Juniors Nathan Degiorgio and Samuel Vella, represented their club under the guidance of Coach Mauro. Luke Chircop distinguished himself by winning a Bronze medal after a notable victory against a competitor from Cyprus, reflecting the team’s dedication and rigorous training.
Despite the challenges faced by Nathan Degiorgio and Samuel Vella, who were eliminated in their initial bouts against Italian athletes, the experience provided them with valuable lessons in adaptability and strategy. The support from fellow competitors, particularly from ITL’s Coach Ditmir and his team, contributed positively to the overall experience.

Additionally, congratulations are extended to ITL’s Michela Scerri for also earning a Bronze medal, highlighting the competitive nature of the event. As the Dragon Taekwondo Sparring Team looks back on its experiences, it is motivated to apply the lessons learned and is eager to participate in future competitions to further develop its skills in the sport.
